We are five cats family and really love watching our furry little critters, especially when they are enjoying themselves with a toy. All of our cats love this toy so much that they sometimes team up or take turns playing with this nifty gadget gift.

The Turbo Scratcher is basically a large ring with a lightweight ball embedded in a track. The ball rolls freely and for some reason cats are fascinated by the ball and they slap it around the track. Sometimes they slap it back and forth, and sometimes they try to see how fast they can make it move. The Turbo Scratcher also has a center section that uses inexpensive replaceable corrugated cardboard scratching pads. The pads tend to last a long time. Our cats are not de-clawed, yet they have not worn out the pads after several months of use.

The scratching pads can be sprinkled with catnip for a special kitty treat. The catnip falls into the holes in the cardboard and will not get onto your carpet unless you flip the Turbo Scratcher upside down. Due to the floor-hugging design of this cat toy, it would be very difficult for a cat to flip it over. There just isn’t anything that they can grab onto.

The Turbo Scratcher comes in a few different colors and two sizes. We initially bought one in green in the 15.5 inch diameter size and our cats loved it so much that we bought another, also in green. It looks like there is a newer models called the Star Chaser Turbo Scratcher that comes in brighter colors.

Place the Turbo Scratchers in the rooms where your cats like to play. In our case, one can be found in my office and the second in the living room, which tends to be scattered with cat toys.

Each cat tends to have a different personality and each has slightly different ideas when it comes to recreation. What really surprised us is that five out of five of our cats enjoy this toy. Your cats will probably love this gadget gift just as much. We give this cat toy a big paws up.
