The inventors say that iShoes can hit a top speed of 13.5 miles per hour. Only one shoe is powered and is directed from a hand-help plunger-type controller. iShoes are powered by a lithium-ion battery pack that can be charged in two hours. The braking is done by the motor, which recalims the braking energy and uses is to help keep the battery charged.
