How many times have you had to work under a car or in a tight space and found yourself constantly groping for the tools that you need to do the work? Have you noticed that almost every time you set a tool down it tends to disappear when you need it? The Tool Band-It™ solves these problems by always keeping wrenches, screwdrivers and other metal tools attached securely to your arm where you can always find them.
This is a great gadget gift for home handymen, carpenters, plumbers, auto mechanics, or just about anyone who works with tools. I know that every time I have had to work in an attic, under a car or under a sink, I’m constantly searching for the tools that I just set down somewhere–and they always seem to be just out of reach when I need them. The Tool Band-It solves this problem by keeping all your tools within sight and within easy reach.
The Tool Band-It is engineered out of heavy duty PVC coated poly-knit fabric and is secured using hook and loop straps. It uses rare earth magnets, which are some of the strongest magnets available. Just about any metal tool or hardware item can be secured to your arm, including drill bits, screwdrivers, wrenches, sockets, nuts, bolts, nails, screws, pliers and even hammers.
How strong is it?
I had to ask how strong the Tool Band-It is, because you certainly don’t want to lose tools as you maneuver through a tight crawl space or attic or under a car. Mike, one of the reps from Tool Band-it obliged me by pulling out a 3 pound sledge hammer, which he then placed on the Tool Band-It. I checked the hammer to assure that it was indeed real and I was impressed. Although I do not recommend walking around with a 3 pound sledge attached to your arm (In other words, don’t do this just in case it did get knocked off. Toes are precious things.), it did demonstrate the strength of the rare earth magnets and that most hand tools and hardware will be held securely in place.
If you or your loved ones work with any type of metal tools, this gadget gift is a useful addition to anyone’s tool box. It is also very affordable and is priced at about $20.
