You never know when an emergency is going to strike, but when it happens, one of the best emergency tools to have ready is a good, reliable flashlight. The crank usually folds away into the side of the unit. While a hand-crank flashlight may not always be practical for everyday use, it is great for camping, hunting, fishing, auto emergencies (such as flat tires at night) or to keep around the home just in case you ever really need it. Hunters and campers love these types of gadget gifts because when they have a reliable flashlight, they do not have to carry extra batteries.
